Founder and CEO
John Byrnes is Founder and CEO of Silicon Valley Nexus. John is a seasoned entrepreneur and business development leader with over 25 years of experience developing and implementing creative growth strategies for Global 2000 companies and startups. He has held senior executive positions at KPMG, GE Capital and Eastman Kodak, where he participated in over 40 corporate transactions in the technology, manufacturing, retail, financial services and e-business sectors.
As an entrepreneur and angel investor with over two decades in the startup space, John has been at the forefront of the technology and digital media sectors, with experience in areas such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, digital marketing, and film/television entertainment.
John is passionate about the power of education in shaping opportunities for youth, serving as a college alumni recruiter and mentor, and student advisor with ScholarMatch, a local non-profit whose mission is to make college accessible to underserved students. John received his B.A. from Stanford University and M.B.A. (honors) from Columbia Business School. John enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exploring the Bay Area's diverse food and entertainment scene, playing tennis, and coaching baseball.

SHERI BRYANT
Chief Metaverse Officer
Sheri Bryant is an entrepreneur who lives at the intersection of creativity, innovation, and technology. She has spent the last five years building and exploring the metaverse - first with virtual world pioneer Linden Lab and then with Sansar, now the world’s first metaverse platform to premiere on smart TVs. Sheri has years of leadership experience spanning strategy, growth, monetization, partnerships, brand-building, community, and content in the technology and immersive entertainment space.
Sheri holds a B.A. degree in Economics with honors from Stanford University. She has spent her adult life promoting diversity and championing Asians in the entertainment and tech industries.
